Celebrating over 30 years of God's faithfulness. Your donations help us continue to shine the light of Christ to the lost.

– Pastor Enock Deroseney

The Good Samaritan Project is located in Thozin-Grand Goaves, Haiti. It is a Christ-centered ministry, preaching the gospel, educating the unfortunate children, feeding the hungry, and giving hope to the lost by means of churches, schools, orphanages and food distributions. Meals are served to the students and other hungry people in our community of about 3000+ inhabitants. In January 1975, Pastor Enock met with two men of God, Rev Charles C. Carrin and Rev Emerson Proctor, who came to Haiti following the advice of a friend. Seeing the needs of the people there, the two returned in Haiti with a group of surveyors who witness the impoverished lives of the people of Grand-Goave. With a number of about 60 attendees, Pastor Enock and the group facilitated an impromptu service, in which many gave their lives to the Lord. The group returned to United States, while Pastor Enock continued to meet with the people of Grand-Goave. Through much prayer and planning, the church was established. Pastor Enock also began teaching many of the children in the church, as they were illiterate due to their families could not afford to pay for their education. As the years progressed, the numbers grew. Within one year, the school increased from 35 students to 120 students. Then in 1979, The Good Samaritan Project was established. A group of seven men and women from Pennsylvania came for a visit and decided they will start supporting the school and feed the children by paying $20 a month for seven children. They provided food for one week, then left Haiti and returned home.

When they got home, they spread the news and the number jumped from 7 sponsors to 35 sponsors and from 35 to 70 sponsors that year. Thus the lord has blessed us through these seven. In 1980, we decided to organize our collections through a sponsorship program. In that sponsorship program, we asked for the support of anyone to help spread the gospel to reach the lost souls for God. We asked for help in feeding hungry children who had no capable parents to take care of them or to provide the means to educate them; we also asked for support to provide medical care such as giving pain or fever relieving pill, or transport to the nearest hospital. Those who heard the call to provide these vital needs to unfortunate families subscribed and started supporting the G.S.P.

Over the years, the GSP has seen hundreds of its students graduate from their primary or middle school grades. More than 70% of those graduates continue through high school as GSP continue to sponsor their education. The Good Samaritan Project has produced ordained pastors and several preachers. Among the others, have come city mayors, schoolteachers, community leaders, nurses, tailors, bakers and much more. And some have relocated to the United States and Canada.

The Good Samaritan Project still offers the opportunity to those who can and have the desire to sponsor a child or to send donations to provide the education, food, medical, social, spiritual and moral attention that are such urgent needs for both adults and children of Grand-Goaves and Petit Goaves, Haiti. Much prayer and support are needed for the continuation of G.S.P.

God bless you always,
At the Master’s service,
